IS POLARBOX A MOVING COMPANY?
No, PolarBox is an eco-friendly alternative to the CardboardBox. We supply you with plastic moving boxes and other moving supplies to pack with, and pick them up after you have moved and unpacked.
HOW DO I PAY?
We accept Debit, Visa, MC, Amex, Cheque or Cash. Our drivers have mobile payment terminals and will collect payment upon delivery.
DO YOU OFFER LONG TERM BOX RENTAL?
Yes! For orders up to six weeks you can use our standard pricing and add the additional week charge to the three week rate. For longer orders please call us for special long term pricing. We help lots of customers who need to put their items in to long term storage or who are renovating their home and want to keep their goods safe.
WHAT KIND OF BOXES DO YOU OFFER, AND WHAT ARE THEIR DIMENSIONS?
We offer eco-friendly hand held containers. Our boxes are 27"x17"x12". The volume of our boxes is 2.5 cubic feet. Regular cardboard boxes are usually around 18"x15"x12.5"
WHAT ARE THE RENTAL TERMS?
We ask for a minimum rental of 1 week. We offer different packages for up to 3 weeks with additional costs for any extra weeks that you may need.
HOW DO I ORDER? / WHAT ARE YOUR OPERATING HOURS?
You can either order online from our web site 24/7, or call us directly during our office hours which are:
Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm at 1-855-266-BOXX
Our delivery hours are Monday-Friday: 9am-7pm.
WHAT ARE YOUR ORDER PROCEDURES?
When you order we will ask you for your new and old address, plus credit card. When the order is placed you will receive a confirmation email with all your info confirming the dates and time of pickup. You pay upon delivery when you receive your boxes.
DO I NEED TO BE PRESENT FOR DELIVERY AND PICKUP?
Yes, during delivery we will need you to sign the rental agreements, and confirm delivery. During pickup you will also need to be present while we count and inspect the boxes.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE A DELAY IN MY MOVE?
Just contact us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
WHAT IF I NEED THE BOXES LONGER?
If you need the boxes longer than marked in your contract, we contact us as soon as possible and we will update your contract and arrange a new pick-up schedule. Additional fees may be added.
CAN I RETURN MY BOXES EARLY?
You can, but you will need to call us so we can schedule a new pick-up appointment.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I CANCEL MY ORDER AFTER IT'S ALREADY BEEN CONFIRMED?
If you have given us ONE week notice or more, there is no cancellation fee. 20% of the total fee will be charged if you give us shorter notice.
CAN I CHANGE MY DATES AFTER THEY'VE BEEN CONFIRMED?
Of course! We want to help make your move as easy as possible, just call us and we'll try our best to work out some new dates. Please note that this may not always be possible if we are already booked, so try and let us know as soon as you can.
WHAT IF I DIDN'T USE ALL MY BOXES, CAN I GET SOME OF MY MONEY BACK?
No, since you rented as a package all boxes are under your name if you've used them or not.
WHAT IF I DIDN'T ORDER ENOUGH BOXES, AND NEED MORE?
Normally when you order we try and figure out how many boxes you'll need so this won't happen. If it does happen, call us and we'll try to figure something out for you.
WHAT IF I AM MOVING LONG DISTANCE?
At the moment we can only move within the areas of Montreal, Laval and the South Shore. As more franchises are added, more locations will be added so help you move future. From time to time we also have used plastic boxes & wardrobe boxes available for sale - please contact us if you are interested in that option.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE BOXES GET LOST OR DAMAGED?
If any of the boxes are lost or damaged, you will be charged for the replacement
WHAT ARE WARDROBE BOXES?
Some items are best transported on hangers, including suits, dress pants, dresses and more. Simply hang your clothes on the rack inside and move the whole box. These eco-smart boxes will greatly outlast traditional cardboard boxes, which only get an average of 3 uses max. Our wardrobe boxes are made with corrugated plastic which is weather resistant, very light and very durable.
HOW DOES POLARBOX DELIVER AND PICKUP THE BOXES?
One of our biodiesel PolarBox trucks will deliver your plastic moving boxes and other moving supplies to you. They stack neatly inside of each other and don't require any assembly. Our driver will deliver the moving boxes and supplies right inside your house.
